Independence Hall World Heritage Site.
In addition to being one of the most important and symbolic buildings in American history, Independence Hall is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the only building in Pennsylvania to be granted such distinction. Many historians consider Independence Hall the birthplace of the United States. It was in the Assembly Room that the doctrines guiding American democracy were debated and eventually finalized. Independence Hall Tickets.
Tickets are required to tour Independence Hall from March through December. Tickets for the time- and day-specific tours are free and available at Independence Hall, online or by phone. A per-ticket fee applies for advance reservations. Tickets are not required to visit Independence Hall in January or February. Independence Hall is open daily, except December 25, from 9am to 5pm.
